Ahead of a storm front, atmospheric conditions will become more unstable again on Friday. This will increase the risk of rain showers and thunderstorms during the day. However, it will still be quite warm and, at times, humid. Over the weekend, as an Atlantic front moves through, the upper-level flow will shift more toward the north. The weather will be changeable and thus more prone to showers. In addition, temperatures will drop, giving midsummer a break for many who have been suffering from the heat. In between, though, the sun should be able to break through from time to time. Even at the start of the week, the weather won’t be particularly stable, as a few bands of rain showers will repeatedly move in from the northwest. Temperatures will remain moderate.
